Since 1902, Goodwill Industries International, Inc. has been accepting monetary donations and collecting and reselling goods in order to fund job training and career services. Goodwill of Acadiana opened its doors in 1990, bringing this successful concept to our area to produce skilled and reliable workers in a variety of high-demand fields for local employers.

Goodwill helps people with vocational disadvantages such as welfare dependency, illiteracy, advanced age, language barriers and homelessness. Goodwill also serves thousands of people with physical, mental and emotional disabilities. Last year, with the help of donations to their resale shops, Goodwill served more than 320,000 people through employment and training programs.

Goodwill is connected to the Louisiana Pelican Classic to bring opportunity to Acadiana and funding to its programs. With the additional funding, Goodwill will be able to continue its mission of connecting people to Good Jobs, Good Homes, and Good Families leading to healthy communities.
